Moments of Grace

A train journey can sometimes be a testing ground to score some runs on living the knowledge.  One such train journey I took from Indore to Mumbai. Was down with fever and as usual blazed to catch the train(am sure many of you are giggling at this) and landed in my seat. Was exhausted and wanted to sleep due to drained out energy. There were some fascinating elderly companions across, but I was in mood only for sleep. The train was gushing at top speed in ten minutes, I was midway on my road to inactivating my nervous system, when I could hear loud whistling sounds punctuated by occasional intervals with a snort at different pitches from all my companions across.

This was the start, the sound became music to my ears very soon(accept situation). I stretched, covered my ears and had almost reached my destination of relaxing my muscles when my companions twitched me. I woke up like a galvanized frog spreading my eyes apart. The questions were ‘ Are you ok?’ in almost as many variations. The concerns were intense, but I had sleep in all cells of my body. I smiled and slept again, and few minutes later my companions concerns were even louder. “Should we call a doc?” A small time fever looked like a big time disease to them. Few more rounds of desperate attempts ended with “Why aren’t you eating anything”. I ‘tried’ to sleep till late evening. I reveled on the food packed by kakiji for my memorable journey.

The impishness in my companions had been replaced with deep slumber and it was Rock On. I was just sitting around when the Ticket checker came and shocked  me that my seat was not confirmed but he had not bothered to inform me and yet had allocated me a full seat. Pretty unheard of?

“Forgetfulness of the trivial is ecstasy”
“Forgetfulness of the infinite is misery”

My small complaints were totally replaced with big moments of grace.  I quickly slipped into sleep wearing a cover of grace and woke up in Mumbai !!

Lucky u ! to be always enveloped in grace. May Guruji’s love and care be always bestowed on you and if Guruji feels us worth, may HE also shower his choicest blessings on the like of us too.

A very influential blog! Can actually refresh a person from his blues and also makes us realise HIS presence in our lives.
