Life is a misery if the mind is stuck in the old. Old thoughts, Old past, Old relationships all lead to some memory signals pointing to sadness. But when the mind is released from the old there is so much freshness, so much newness. When the mind is tucked with the old it doesn’t even allow to enjoy which is already there. Unhappiness is unreal since it is inflicted by memory. Knowledge and Sadhana is the ambrosia for this novel approach. The deeper you are attached to something, the more it places itself in the memory. Memory stores all the “should’s” and the “should-not’s” that we have decided for ourselves. It is a personal like. Which means it stores all the pleasures and the pains. Pleasures to indulge in again and events of pain to be avoided in future. It is the observation of these fleeting events, the flickering thoughts or sitting down for your sadhana which can keep the memory fresh, new and alive every moment. It needs a flush. It needs to be re-newed.
N I think the best way to flush off the emotional garbage (if it is in tons…. hahahah) is to go for an adv crs rite? But at times isn’t it ok to take lessons from the past so that we don’t repeat the same mistake again and again in future?
So true. I experience this again and again. A very important part of creating something new is to de-learn and create. Kriya really helps there.
Very true.
